Over the 35 years Joy-Marie has been in the cosmetics industry, studying in the United States, France and Italy, she has been focusing on using plant extracts for health and beauty. Over time she has observed that people become symptomatic on the skin when exposed to pollution, poor diet, long term use of prescription drugs and hormone therapy. After nearly 2 years back at college, she is studying the watershed and how we humans unwittingly impact it. Now she is putting her documentation to great use as she performs an in-depth Safe Drinking Water Study. In her spa practice, her clients learn about how our foods have been compromised by chemicals that industry adds to them for bigger or more uniform size ( just for packaging and shipping concerns - not flavor or nutrition, color and preservation - to withstand weeks of shipping) and the effects this has on our health and skin. Recently, she gave presentations on the controversy of Nano-Technology In Cosmetics; how common household cleaning agents harm our skin and lungs and how local SuperFund sites continue to sicken local residents without any health alerts from the government. You will see the benefits you seek from a series of professional visits with esthetician Joy-Marie. The program includes melanin - suppressing, exfoliating, blocking and deflecting agents applied to the affected areas of your complexion. She will include certified organic home care products suited to your condition, skin type and any health issues. With a wide range of professional solutions to work with, she can find the right program and offer you sound advice to achieve lasting results.

Initial visit is about 2 hours and costs $195.This begins with an in-depth evaluation, imaging device to show you what is going on below the surface and discussion about Melasma. The facial portion of your first visit includes certified organic products that chemically signal your epidermis with new messages about how it responds to heat, sun and fluorescent lighting. Then Joy-Marie will use an exfoliate, which may involve either organic skin peeling agents, Microdermabrsion or Ultra Sound. One or more specialty masks are used, depending on the degree of pigmentation, other skin problems and any health issues. Each visit is finished with a melanin suppressing serum and sunscreen. These products she uses have been tested over the years for non-reactive results because Melasma creates a very sensitive complexion, making it so difficult to treat successfully with common skin care products. Every facial will include hydration, calming ingredients, healing antioxidants and protective treatments to send you back out into the environment. Depending on her evaluation, your first session also includes 3 home care products to take and use daily to continue the benefits. Follow up sessions will cost between $90 and $200, depending on areas she will work on for you and the technology or products she will use.
