In the 15 seconds or so that the wash will remain on your face it will remove impurities and unclog pores, while preserving skin’s structure and pH and preparing it for the next phase in the treatment each day( like D2O and Ultra Hyaluronic cream).  Because a wash has to be carefully balanced, you will find in it shea butter, the oil obtained from the seeds of Butyrospermum parkii, together with lactic and salicylic acids. MMP stands for “matrix metalloproteinase”. MMPs are enzymes naturally present in skin – their job is to break down proteins. Thus, the structural integrity of the extracellular matrix is preserved and the youthful state of the skin maintained. The body makes its own MMP inhibitors, called TIMPs (tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase), but research is showing that the combination of topical MMP inhibitors with the body’s own TIMPs acts as a superior anti-aging team.
